Times seems fast and slow at the same time, 2 years has passed and looking back at 12/06/08 where I was worried about all the NS stuff, its seems that I really have learn alot from this 2 years.

I learned to be a more confident person, better in handling relationships with people, Understanding Fitness is important and finally being a Leader.

Will like to thank everyone who was there for me during this hard times, having this emotional support is key to this success. Thanks for the scolding that make me a better man, Thanks for the Love that makes me treasure everyone of u, Thanks for making me believe that everything is possible. Thanks u dear dear for having u waited for 2years for me, I know that most of my friends broke off during this period, but I was so lucky to have u , being there for me, Listening to my complains, Encouraging me. As the Ns chapter closes, another chapter opens...my next step in life.

Thailand, Phuket Trip

Updates about my recent getaway at Thailand, Puket trip. Leave Camp and rush home on Friday night to catch my flight at 2035 at Changi Airport Terminal 1. Flying via Jetstar(budget airline coz no $$$) Reach Phuket at 2140 then catch a cab to go to our hotel at APK Resort and Spa, my room looks something like this:

Reason why that hotel? because it near everything in Phuket, look below!

Rest for the Night, then next morning headed down to have breakfast at the hotel lobby then to JUNGCEYLON for lunch(macdonald) and shopping. U can click on the link and view how it looks like and the shops available. I went to Carrefour and Robinsons for some snacks and jeans shopping. Thats the only Biggest Shopping centre in Phuket. Oh btw Phuket Main beach is called the PATONG beach.

Went to try JetSKI its about 1500Bhats for 2person for 40mins, Quite Fun, was skiing almost at full speed with the SUN and WIND and for awhile i feel like those JAmes Bond Stunts.

The Following Day, We took a Full day tour @ PHI PHI ISLAND! 1st stop was at MAYA ISLAND where the Hollywood Film "The Beach" was taken. The beach is Oh my gosh! take a look.

After that we head for the Main Phi Phi Don island to have buffet lunch and then spend about 2hrs Snorkeling and its my 1st time snorkeling thus i got to learn how to wear and breath through my mouth. Got to swim with the fishs, wonderful feeling and guess i am falling in love with snorkeling, maybe next time dear dear can join me.

After all the fun and Sun, it finally time to head back to singapore le, went to catch my 2200 Flight back to singapore. Reach singapore about 0050 then headed back home via cab. Bought my new year cloths and jeans, speaking of this. I cant wait for CNY to come. Take care People signing Off~

*cough* cough*..this blog seems to be too dusty le. Its has been months since the last update. I admit is my fault for not finding time ba. Just want to infrom u guys, that i am still alive *yeah* and going to pass out of my sign@l sgt course at 041209. Managed to clear my SOC,IPPT and tons of exams papers. Because of the effort i decided to get myself a Gameboy micro instead of the DS, PS. I bought my brother another DS to replace the one i lost and another cowon S9 16gb. I know that Gameboy Micro has phased out at 2006. It took me tons of effort to find games and the accessories like Link cable, Screen protector, AC charger.. and my EZ-Flash IV for Homebrew etc (have been digging around game shops and even malaysia)

Lost and Play Update~

Hi people, back to give u guys a update on myselfz. Recently lots of things happen. My stuff got lost in c@mp. Items lost are My 16GB cowon S9 MP3 player, My Bro DS Lite, My Grand theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Cart. Total Lost about $650, was quite heart boken...dunno why the next day i was developing High Fever and was send home for 7 days to rest. Thus i spend my National Day at home with my family and love one this year. *thanks dear dear for showing care and concern!*

Items Lost

After a week, I recieve a sms from a friend saying will i be interested in his PS3 60GB(out of production model) with games and accessories. I contacted him. when to his place to view and play and agreed on a very good price for the whole package. Thus now i think my place has turn to a entertainment centre le. Heres a sneak Pic of how do i game at home now. Was thinking to Selling of my wii for the PS3. Consulted my bro and decided that it will stay.

Oh ya, did i mention that i love Racing games like Need for speed series, GRID, Gran Turismo series.

Haha, i think this blog is due for update. recently i have been doing a video project for my boss, still at around 40% completed. Hope they will enjoy the video onces they completed the course. Recently i have visited they shop called "Buy N Sell" which buys in your game console(PSP,DS,Xbox 360,PS3,etc..) and laptops.There are many outlets i think yishun, toa payoh, Tampines also got. I just went to the toa payoh outlet and happen to see that they have a 2nd hand final fantasy IV ds game for sales.

As i have been looking forward to playing the game for quite awhile, its the pricing that always stop me from getting it. ($65!)
I just tried my luck and ask for the price, i was originally quoted $25, then the boss decided to sell me at $20! without a doubt i purchase on the spot. Being so excited i head down to tampines mega multimedia and got the guidebook at $28.

As from what i experience from my final fantasy III ds, which i also got the guidebook, i felt that Final fantasy RPG games requires guidebook to complete it, else u are always stuck and at a loss.

As i am halfway completing the game, i desire to get my next DS game which is the Highest rated DS game. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.

This time around i went to the tampines outlet and happen to saw that they have the Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars game! i ask and was quoted $35(VS $65 outside). I ask it i can purchase it for $30(just trying my luck..hehe) and vola! The sales went through! Gosh i was lucky, so this month i have spend $50 on DS games. I promise dear dear that i WILL NOT BUY ANYMORE DS GAME for the rest of the year le. Thanks dear dear for ur understanding.

Last few weeks, i have been going out with dear dear and i just thought how our relationship has gone so far. It has already pass two years and not a single quarrel or disagreement. I think it is our differences that nulls any argument. So guys, i am showing you that it is possible to go on with a relationship without conflict. Your honeymoon period of a relationship is not necessary only limited to 3-6months, but can always be as long as you want it. Understanding plays a very important role, so just try to understand each other and works things out. Finding the right partner is also vital to the relationship. Oh ya, before i forget.. always surprise your love ones with gift..etc. It may sounds simple, but it really works all the times.

Its been over a year since i entered NS le, by spending so much time in there, i realise that i learn alot. It was a tought road to walk, but at least i managed to come this far. Cant wait for another year to pass, and my friends who is in NS now, hold on and Jia you!

Guess i almost forget to update my blog onces awhile. i guess people like me getting older is becoming more and more forgetful. ok so much for excuses le, just like to inform u that i finish (Part 1) of SISPEC course le. The toughest is the 30km route march, the feeling i have during the 16km is almost killing me and my buddy was just dragging me along. Glad that i managed to complete it, the movtivation to get me going during the route march was: my dear dear,my new cowon s9 mp3 player, 1 week holiday. all this are in my mind during this tough times. After the route march, we were given the posting other for our new unit, i was hoping for a change in camp, but i was one of those "lucky" people to stay back behind for another 3months to be trained as a tekong sgt. abit disspointed but just suck thumb lor. haixx talk abt happier things ba. my new mp3 player the cowon s9! here a short write up on it.

For the pass few weeks i have been searching for a new mp3 player to replace my meizu m6 which i am currently using. I have been avoiding the Fruits "apple" brand as i dont wanna be a slave to itunes and converting all my movies to mp4 format and perfer the same old click and drop interface like a thumb drive. Thus i have search and found 3 mp3 players that i found suitable. The cowon A3 and cowon S9 and samsung p3.

The cowon A3 is a very powerful video player that can support almost anything u throw at it.
While the cowon S9 have AMOLED screen, Longer battery life, and stunning Sound quality. The samsung p3 is like a inbetween the cowon a3 and cowon s9 having support alots of common video codec and having some stunting features. In the end, after consulting a bunch of people. I decided to take the cowon s9. I went to sim lim squre and funan IT mall to do a price check and the cheapest cowon s9 was at WAC at $400 while farle is around $450. There was only 1 colour in singapore which was the Titanium Black. I did my maths and decided to get it from amazon via vpost and total i paid abt $400 singapore dollar and i got myself the Chrome Black version + TV out cable + cowon leather case compared to buying local i only can get the player at this price. Without further delay let me present you cowon s9.

Update, Update, Updated! that what i have been hearing for about a week. reason y i am slow in updating my blog this time around is because
1)Just finish my (1/2) field camp
2)Every weekend got RT training for me =(
3)Busy learning too many army stuffz

Last few weeks was quite tiring for me as i am still adapting the unit life here. Fail my 1st Nafa CAT test, but Pass my 1st Nafa actual test. BUT still not good enough, must get sliver then no need to RT. Hope to be better in my 2nd test coming up soon. i also got my new rank le pic are below. yeah promoted le. shoo happi~ =P every weekend going out with dear dear most of the time, so wanna thanks dear dear for spending her time with me! + i also wanna head out to catch up with my poly/sec/bmt mates soon too. BTW i learn a new term of words like "MAGIC" and "ROC".

Haha, after one and half week of rest. I went to check on my posting on friday morning and to my surprise i was Posted to S|Spec for training. Didnt really tot that i have a chance at command school as i just try my best for my BMT recourse. Well what happen, Happened. so i just have to look forward towards this new challenge ahead of me and hope that i will be able to clear the course. This few days have been treating myself to nice food like chili crab,Mos burger, Durian,KFC,Steam boat cause i know i wont be able to enjoy such a treat when i am in-camp. Really like to thanks dear dear for taking 2 days off to pei me during my off week this week. Thank you *muackz* really enjoy every moment we spend together.

To the rest of my friends, I hope we all can meet up soon to chill! Miss u guys too long le!

POP loh! finally after 9months in NS. Finally pass out as a Private, didnt make it the other time due to my leg injuries glad that it all came to an end yesterday.When i woke up this morning i was think back the time when i first enlisted to BMT, having a tough time coping to army life and going through the drills, Field camps, Range, BMT really Push us all to our limits. I believe that everyone should just go through BMT once and not twice like i did. I am truly happy and glad that i make it throught this time round. I will really like to thanks dear dear and my family for encouraging me during my course of BMT, without their support it seems impossible to make it through. Thanks You onces again.

update update, after my short stint in guards camp for abt 6months, i am finally heading back to tekong island to complete my bmt recourse. i am just abt 1 hr away from heading back, really will miss my stayout days hehe. And yes i have completed a quater of my ns life,after tekong i will left 1yr 3month. yeah!

Well i made some goals for 2009, here it is!
1)Clear BMT
2)Save till at least 3k
3)Dont buy camera stuff and laptop
4)Remain fit and healthy
5)Increase relations with friends and love ones~

22nd Birthday celebrations~

Thanks everyone for their sms and blessing, This year celebrations is really one of the best that i ever had. Dear dear meet me at my house around 11am and surprise me with a my fav durian cake. *yummy yum* thanks dear. After that we ate some then when to take bus 23 to bugis, where another surprise is waiting for me. Dear dear gave me a $100 voucher to spend in sim lim square, and i went to get a Graphic card for my desktop which i really want. *muacks* After that we head to bugis junction cause dear dear wants to buy her own levis jeans. So happy for her that she managed to clear one of her wish list. We later walk to Marina square GV to watch High School Musical 3 *yeah* =) the movie was nice and glad i watched it before i fly to australia. After the movie we walked to havelock rd to have dinner at the mirama hotel at the Fern tree cafe. *Omgz* I was super X100 surprise that dear dear plan all so nicely today. The buffet was one of the best i have eaten this year. We later walk to Central and took bus 12 back home. This kinda sums up of my 22nd birthday celebrations. Will blog again onces i am back at 16 NOV. Take care everyone!

When i heard the news that the yellow ribbon concert tic are available at AXS machines, i quickly applied for 4 tic for my parents and me with dear dear because we wanna show our support for the ex-offenders and also see my mum fav "wakin" performance! enjoyed ourself that night, i also bought for dear dear a new pouch for her new camera, cause she dont really like the free pouch that comes with it. haha she was really surprise. hehe.

I went there stright after my camp on the 1st day to help dear dear look for a new CAmera and thus saw the sony booth having a promotion for the T70 camera @ $399, i faster called dear dear and told her abt it. she was delighted then i went to purchase the pink T70 for her and managed to get alot of freebies for her. Glad that she is happy with her new cam, then after i sold her old camera for $100 to offset the new camera to $299!

I must say 1000X sorry for not updating my blog for almost a month. Well i last stop at my enlistment into the army. So u might ask what is happening in moi life. well i attended my BTMC for about 5 weeks before Taken out of training due to (shin splint disorder)the main cause of my injury, was send to CGH to see Specialist and was given medicial status for 2months. Thus i am posted to Guards camp to be a supply assistant.

Today is our national birthday, tot i will spend it with my dear dear but in the end end up spending with my army dudes instead(sorry dear! =( ) Tml will be meeting her le so i am still excited and look ahead for tml!

Times really flies, as i am left with 4 more days before going in the army, my friends planned a car outing for me and my dear on sat as we head to marina south for bowling then realise that the place was close down, we headed to marina square to bowl,after play a few arounds we then headed to chomp chomp for dinner then headed back home. Glad that dear dear enjoyed her day with my friends. Sunday stayed at home and when out with ron to watch indiana jones movie then headed home, on my way home surprise to see ciqi and dear dear seating at starbucks doing some stuff, haha, i always got a eye to see things. hehe.... now i am somehow worried for my NS, dont know wat to expect and been really thinking alot. i just hope all turn out well for me ba. i guess this is it ba, see u guys soon...

Finally 80% of the major events are over（dear birthday, C139 chalet, AFC dinner gathering...etc) remainer 20% (grad day, AFC chalet, family chalet) coming up. NS enlistment update~

Hi guys, i just got my NS enlistment letter (which i have been waiting =P）haha, my reporting date is on 12/6/08 tekong camp 2 @10.30am. yesterday i was training my legs and stamina by walking for 3hrs covering 15km (from my house->expo->east coast park->bedok->home) Counting down to the enlistment day, thus got to treasure every day le. Time really flys as a blink of an eye, my ind junior class is turning yr3 le, haha i was their orientation leader when they came in to poly, and it is really a fun filled excitement time with them, been to so many of their chalet and gathering, really feel part of the class le. Anyway the chalet was from 31/3-2/4 but i only stayed for 1 night cause i got to work on the 2nd. We have pot luck dinner for the 1st night then played jenga (they super sabo king,they say loser foreit is to kiss me, if i lose anyone have to kiss me, *faint*) so when yi jian lose, i was abt to run off, but was surrounded by the class, haix cant escape. After that we watch about 3 movies from 11pm-6am in the morning and i just when to slp and head back home the following day. haha wat crazyiness i had with my junior class, thanks to all the good memories i had with the class, thanks again.

1st Day of my "Dream job"

Greetingz to all, currently i am working as a photographer assistant and learning as much as i can from my boss and mentor. Btw my pay not bad also, range is 8-10hr. so yesterday we got two shoots at 2 different 5 star hotels,so i reach the company at 9am then pack the equipments and transport it to the car and drove to Meritus hotel at orchard road. Was surprise that we were given a private function room for the product shoot, the 2 cakes are the main highlight of the day. The chef was there and was chatting with us about more new and interesting cakes that they are planning to design and so fore. This was really a eye opener for me, as now i understand and learn more about food photography. We then had lunch at far east then head down to 4 seasons hotel for our next shoot. This time around our shoot was inside a fine-dining chinese resturant.We took about 6 other food shot and called it aday, pack our equipment and drove back to company to unload and i head back home. phew as i am tired after the shoot, i am really glad i did try out something i am interested in. I still got a few more shoots tis weeks so take care ppl.

Welcome to my humble 2008 post. I can see that people are disappointed that i took such a long time to post and update.*okok i go clear aways those spider webs on moix blog*

So let me start off from this CNY bah, firstly i didnt celebrate chinese new year this year, because my grandmum just pass away 2 days before cny, thus whole family was in mourning and having my final semester submittion, it was quite hard for me and my family. Lucky i am able to pull through this tough period of time and get all the stuff done, thanks to all my friends and dar. =) This is the final sem in sch le, and all seems over too fast.
I started missing TP library (where me and my friends used to hang out during our break (yr1&2))
missing TP MP lab (where all hell break loose, jumping around and slamming at the mp wall for fun (yr3))
missing TP Food (where $3 can get u good western food)
missing TP sports hall (where it all begin from freshman oriention to final exams)
missing TP toilets (where we bath and scream after sports or CAMP!)
missing TP yandao and chio bus (where it was our only relaxation time camping for AFC *damn miss my golden year 1 dating days(where i dated gals from every sch..IT,AS,Design,Biz,Engine =X opps kel secret is outx))
missing Doing silly stuff in TP (proposing under a mango tree to ”i*con" which she still rememebers,lolx. squeezing as much people into a handicap toliet at sports hall, hunting for ghost from 11pm till 1am around TP....etc)
and lastly missing TP Classmates (ya i know.but yes its true..so fast bros, 3years come and go)

Vday，haha meet my dar at Terminal 3 then we ate our lunch then head down to lido to watch CJ7. haha the movie was quite cute and nice, so please support and buy the DVD, dont download. =) then we headed down to cineleisure for a nice dinner at a steak house. dar didnt really like the food cause the portion is small and doesnt taste nice, service was not really good. dar also presented to me mine vday present! she made for me heart shape chocolates! i was kind of shock and touched as 1st time got a gift like this. thanks dear~ after that we headed down to esplanade to walk walk then headed home. Well,currently i am having my term break 2weeks holiday nowz,on monday went for Ns medical checkup @ 8am finish at 11am (ranked Pes A againz =Z) waited for alvin to finish then headed for lunch then head home to slp. Gosh slp till 5pm then meet dear dear for some quick X'mas shopping then headed back home. today i got my 1st x'mas gift from my dear dear. It is the Wii Zapper!

This week my bro was having this NUS holiday also, thus he was at home and bring back his lappy. His lappy was the same size as my 1st lappy (12.1") so when we are using our laptop today, i notice a big different, Refer to the picture attached. I have move from a 12.1" --> 14.1" --> 15.4" laptop.Getting bigger and bigger, until now i found out that text in 12.1" is harder to read le. so small compared to my 15.4".

Signs of women intersted in men.

This post is to help my fellow schmate find their "other" half and those who are in need of a relationship guide. This is the "Guy" version. taken from an intersting read on the internet.

Well, here are a few signs that should tell you that she probably wants you to ask her out.

1- She's "in your face"
Suddenly, you'll become aware of her presence everywhere -- she "just happens" to show up wherever you hang out; you keep passing her in the hallway at work; she "accidentally" bumps into you; she maneuvers to stand close to you at a club.

What she's doing is trying to get you to notice her and giving you an opportunity to make the first move. The problem with this female strategy is that a lot of guys are completely oblivious to it and consequently throw away a lot of chances to hook up. Men are direct; women are indirect. So, next time a woman starts appearing regularly in your path, be aware that she's likely doing it on purpose.

2- She has all the right moves
A lot of people say that bodies can't lie. Nature has programmed humans with a complex set of non-verbal flirting signals that just flow freely when people are interested in someone. These range from the widening of the iris when looking at the object of desire to more overt displays such as smiling or touching.

Here are a few body-language cues to watch out for:

* She points in your direction with her leg, foot or shoulders.
* She leans toward you while talking.
* She plays with or tosses her hair.
* She fidgets with a piece of jewelry (like an earring) or strokes the stem of her glass.
* She keeps her eyes locked on you while she talks or drinks.
* She mirrors your body movements (for example, if you put your hand on the table, she quickly does the same).
* She smiling when you check her out.

If you become aware of a cluster of these signals, you can almost be sure that she's giving you the green light for romance.

3- She's never too busy
This is a cardinal rule in the dating game: If a woman is interested in going out with you, she will make herself available . This means that she will give you her work number or e-mail address, she will quickly answer or return your call and she will accept your invitation to get together -- and if she's busy on the day you specify, she will say something like, "Well, I can't this Saturday, but next Saturday would be fine, if that's OK."

You'll never hear from an interested woman things like, "I'm really busy right now," or "Let me check my schedule," or "I just got out of a bad relationship, so I'm all mixed up about men." 4- She's curious about you

5- She uses "The Probe" on you
"The Probe" is the female tool used for ascertaining a man's financial resources. The Probe seems like a series of casual questions, but behind it is a ruthless calculator that's ticking away. When a woman first meets a man that she might be interested in dating, she will quiz him on his job, where he lives and what kind of car he drives, all within the confines of a natural conversation. If you give the "right" answers, then the flirting signals will follow; but if you aren't up to her "standards," she's gone in a cloud of dust.

6- She "futures" you
An interested woman is wide open for any future plans with you. In fact, she will often say something like, "Oh... you like bowling, too? We should do that some time." When she's operating in this mode, make no mistake about it -- she wants you to ask her out.

7- She's on pins and needles
If she's really interested, she'll be as nervous as a cat around you, especially if you're clueless about reading her signals. Of course, she could be just a normally shy person, so watch how she interacts with others -- if she's only fidgety around you, then she's probably thinking romance.

8- She's jealous of other women you talk to
She has the green-eyed monster on her back. An interested woman will watch her competition like a hawk (and with talons bared). So, if you notice her steaming just because you're joking around with other women, you can be sure that she wants you to be more than just her friend.

it's time to make your move
These are some of the most obvious signals women emit when they want you. But be on your toes -- spotting just one of these signs might not necessarily be enough to determine her interest (a lot of women are openly friendly to everyone).

However, if a lot of these signals are coming your way, it's a pretty safe bet that you could score a date this weekend.

22/11/2007 Got my new Laptop due to the break down of my old laptop. Spec listed below. I decided to get a Huge one cause i think i going to need a desktop replacement le, dont need to bring out often cause i am ending my school term le. So i think my laptop will be park at home during my NS period.

24/11/2007 Spend my time doing my Tain Report. Plan to finish my report by tonight bah, cause next week submission. I was bored at home and without any latest game to test my new laptop graphic department, i went out to amk to get 2 games, "World in conflict" and "call of duty 4:Modern Warfare" for $42. Damn games are exp now. went around amk to walk walk then just random choosing a food centre and ordered from the store call "Mini Wok" hor fan for $3.50. Damn the prawn,Slice fish is all Fresh! I think is quite nice and the que abit long. So i must recommend eating there. I also went to courts at amk, and really dont like acer new design of laptop which they call the gem stone series. why? cause its abit girl? and its white on the inside (keyboard) which tend to turn yellowish very very soon then equal to damn ugly. =(

FlashBack of memories

Didnt Slp Well, Last night have a huge flashback in my mind as i was lying on my bed. I tried to shut my eyes and mind from random wondering. Its first from my Internship from OCBC,from the 1st day to the last day. I recalled most of my workplace mates, but some i cant seems to remember. then was the poly life flashback, from the 1st orientation camp, till now as i am about to grad from poly le. I think poly is still the best memories in my life i think. From my Cmaths 1 & 2 Nightmare to Database headache and now to major project. I have managed to survive and cope with it, so now major project i believe i can do it one more time.Out of the sudden i was thrown back into the indoor stadium where benny hinn event (April 13–15, 2007)was held, i met clair at the event and the first thing she ask when she look straight into my eyes and said "Chee keong, are you back for real?" I was taken back for a moment and i just said "here i am, right?" knowing that i didnt really answer her question.I was there watching clair and the rest grew up and also often wondered how are they doing now. its now been 2-3year since i last contacted them. maybe i think this question i will have to answer to them one day.

Sorry for being late at my updates, was back from our clique bbq gathering at ECP man it was fun and tireding. Met on tues 3pm to buy our bbq stuff, then head to the our pit C26(best bbq spot in ecp =P) to slack to wait for the rest of our ppl to come, then we rented bicycles overnight. so from 7pm-12am we bbq then went to cycle to the hawker centre for supper then played heart attack at abt 2-3pm.then contiue our part 2 of bbq until 6am where we head to mac for breakfast.the rest was so tired that they slp in mac, me alvin and hao decided to cycle to kill time cause we have to wait until 9am for the bicycle shop to open so we can return the bikes. once 9am, we headed stright home and i just wash up and slp till 630pm today. gosh~ i becuming more like a pig le. haha.

15 more days to my 21th birthday le! its coming so fast. i got my parent early birthday present. they got me my Flash unit for my camera! the nikon SB-800 pro level flash. pictures are below.

I got my 1st Lens in my wish list~ yeah!!!! =P
Nikon DX 18-135mm IF lens for $365
I got it when i got my 1st pay..... so now trying to save up to get my nintendo wii and spend more $$$ on her and then hopefully can get my next lens which i just put in my wishlist. =)

I miss taking photographs and playing my nintendo DS......and mostly i miss being with her when ever we are not together side by side. =P

Greetingz to all, haha long time no blog le. *Someone pull kelvin ear* okok i blogging now. *ear back to normal* haha me currently now having my SIP at OCBC BANK, enterprise banking division. My work area is to take care of loans and doing credit risk (Giving loans to people, approving blah blah blah. So wat am i doing? well, i have 2 desk...=P jealous rite? 1 is for checking of files (Which i name it the "Culling station") the other is for reading blog and doing spreadsheets (Which i call it my "work station"). The down side of having 2 desk is that my work is doubled! LOL rite? 9am to 12 i will be located at my work station after lunch which is 2pm i am located at my culling station. My pay for my SIP is about 660 which is one of the most highly paided job for a intern. haha but still long for me to spend the $$$. haha i am so broke now, after spending soo much on someone, whom i dont mind spending on. =). Today i learned that OCBC bank have a 3rd generation gaming console, wanna guess wat is it???? ITs a NINTENDO Wii!!! which i am aiming next. =P spend about half an hour playing the system... hehehe next time will hang out more at the bank soon. =P the picture below are to make u jealous of my sip working place.

Sorry for not posting for sooooooooo longs. Many things to update, basically kelvin is still around and kicking, firsty i got my NIKON D70 DSLR camera! yeah *kelvin jump around. But i spend a bomb on it, Camera alone is $550, Lens is $120, Bag is $107,Dry Box is $12, Memory card is $57. Total up to $846 currently! I am so so broke now. went out to shoot almost daily to test the camera, i think i shoot over 600 shots le. Tml i still got to go school to cover the Orientation Leader Training camp until friday~ and tml is the day we gg to get our results Via SMS! omgz i am aiming for at least 2 'B' and No 'F'. *kelvin Pray hard hard* Planning to buy the tickets for the Play Musical @ the durian today, but i think i will push back to 2 weeks later, as i am so fincially Tight! sorry alvin for delay! Will post some pic of the new camera and gear~

Happy V day to all. hahaha, didnt have school today, but was meeting alan for breakfast at 10am, but i arrived at 1035am instead. *sorry alan.... haha then have a long chat with him, abt family, church, cell grps. then when to meet yi wen and peggie at biz sch. omgz, they give me v day pressies. Hand make cookies and chocolates....wah so sweet. hahaha i feel bad that i didnt give anything back to them, then emerald call me and ask where i was, she wants to pass me a v day gift. was kinda surprise, that she will make me some chocolates cookies. lolx... so today receive 3 v day gifts le. then i head to library to mug the whole day...today library like no people like that....hahaha managed to complete my WAD case study and HCI presentation. so i guess i am left with CMSK Presentation and WAD lab test. yeah! Happy V day to everyone again!

phew~ finally end of the Hellish week le. manage to complete my HCI and 90% of my WAD assignment and now only leave the lab test and Case study to cope with. =) got to enjoy my weekend this week. CNY is coming le~ means more Income coming in le.....yeah! but that means v-day is also coming le. =X

Damn, the retail is at 1.2k. my bank is broke and will need to save up again. any way...hahaha completed my WAD project...and now having 3 more projects to do. I Dont wanna do Last Min work! now is3am....and i am still brainstorming on the HCI PACT report.......haiix...........but i realise that whatever i want in my wish list, i always got it. Today, i just finish Final Fantasy III DS, now feeling so happy, cause i got i like last year dec. and i spend 29hrs 16mins to finish it yeah! Waiting for the next Final Fantasy to come out for the DS. haha....realise i still like kid like that, happy over a game. =P haha this year i going to turn 21 le.....so stress! i dunno wat to plan for my birthday!!!! i planing to set aside $400 for it, but still got the worried feeling that things will go wrong! hahaha happy yet stress.

Got my Term test results for this sem, 1 pass 2 fail.... =S the 2 paper i fail by 3mark each. but lucky my Project and presentation of the 2 subject was done very well, so i no need to worry. I tend to be better at lab rather then writing things off my head. haiix.......still got project and assignment to doz, but no feeling to do leh.....zzzzz maybe when i wake up tml then have bahz.

Tml heading out with my buddies(sec sch mates) to go town and catch a movie. I aim-ing for a inner ear head phone le. $<50....dunno when can i buy....maybe new year? hahaha realise that the only time i no wear cap is on weekend only. hahaha lazy lazy me. Yesterday went with my sec sch mates for countdown at marina, haha we meet at abt 6pm plus to have dinner at the cuppage area at orchard then head down to city hall at 8plus, boy it was like ant nest. We chop a good location to watch fireworks and stand there till 12am. The 8mins of fireworks is kinda cool and loves being with friends to watch the fireworks. Coming 2007 means me and my sec sch friends are 8yr friends le! Joy and sorrow we shared with each other.... Glad to have them as friends!

I believe every New year, we let go of any unhappyness or disappoinment of last year, and believe that a great year will be ahead of us. Happy new year everyone!

I made 2 wishes for this year...hopefully both of them will come true!

C139 class gatheringz

Today, when out to C139 class gathering at joel place at "gold hill condo" haha y am i there, u might be asking. Cause i was their class orientation leader during the 1st week of the school thus this is one of my care classes. Still quite close with them, going for thier bbq, chalet and now Xmas party cum class gathering. i reach there abt 6pm then have a buffet dinner then chat with some of them and then played games and i lost a few times so have to do foreit(to eat and clear up the food) and light up sparkles. haha kinda fun, but really miss those times when my class C111 is united. but now divided into 3 major clicks. I cum to realise that being a OL in sch and seeing how ur care classes grow is nice, and take they are going to be OL to take over my postion is a wonderful feeling. Being part of my junior IND class, make me wonder how am i going to make this poly life of mine more colourful. =)

Today, is XmAS, merry xmas everyone.....hope everyone happy happy and may ur wishes come true. xmas is one season that i really like alotz, the singing, dancing, forgive and forget and presents! Today when out with Diana(4yr friend) and ee shuen...meet diana at 130pm for lunch at bugis V8 cafe and spend a total abt $45 for lunch. we then head to take neo print then walk around until 4pm then head to orchard mrt to meet ee shuen, ee shuen was late and then we went walking around cinelesuire to find ping pong ball but cant find any, then me and ee shuen bought movie tix for the show "night in the museum" nice show man, u should see! then we went taka to walk walk and came across some intersting toys and one of the guy working there ask me to play with one of the puzzle (a pencil with a string) he just tie it on my shirt and ask me to untie it. Me and ee shuen tried out very best to untie it but failed. haha.so ask him to remove it again. then diana got to go her grandmum house, so me and shuen went back to cinelesuire and watch the movie then head to orchard swensens for dinner. haha ee shuen treat me ice-cream =) thank! then we walk around orchard road then take a train home. post some pic belows..... enjoyed myself today!

Update update! This week was having my ADID lab...then my phone ring "Hey, Kelvin! emmy here....btw U got in OTC leh!!! me too.....and etc" I was kinda shocked when i put down the phone. I was thinking did my classmate got in too? and how did i manage to got in again. so i leave the lab for awhile and then rush to the notice board and check out. Farhan didnt make it, i feel kinda upset as i really hope that we can go in together. But noticed that shawn got in, haha strange but true. Then i asked around who got in.....the usually ppl "Nich, Chang yong, dawn, lex, darren got in" + my freshiee got in too... Was happy for them. Last yr OTC was a blast...was 3rd in FOW and 1st in FOC. i still remember one of those infamous cheer XD

For the future, hmmm...i got friends asking me to join SIA because i got qualification and looks, pay is abt 1.5k but plus allowance is around 3k per month. Flights and hotel accomdation is all cover by SIA, heard from him saying that most of the hotel he stays are all 5 stars de. (japan, UK, USA and many more) downside is that most of the time i will be in and out of singapore, so means less time for family and gf? + friends. or i can take the route of working as a normal IT techical supprot earning abt 1.5-2k per month, or join the teaching team with MOE. All this i check are possible, but its up to me to decide wat to do after my NS. i can now only pray for wisdom. sorry for long blog today. Today, woke up early. with intention of selling off my Nokia N90,because i got my Dopod S300 hp....planning to find buyers at tampines 201 or online....browse through hardwarezone and found one PHone exporter. haha i called him and ask about the price he is taking in my phone, he quote $400 and plan to come to my place to take the set. 30mins later, he reaches my blk and calls me. I brought down my phone and suddenly tot of bringing down my Dopod S300 package too. So i brought down both phone and while he was checking the N90. I ask how much will he take in my S300, He called a friend but he dunno the market price as well, so i just quote him $350...he say no, too high. Then he starting to like my phone then later he tell me he take in $300 for it. I think for awhile and agreeded. Coz in fact, i got the Phone at $300, and now i Sell it at $300. haha No loss for me......Yet another reason to change phones again~ got my 14 piece of $50 notes from him and i am $700 richer. After lunch, i went out to tampines In search of a new phone.....model in my mind was Nokia 8800, Nokia N73, Nokia N90, Dopod 818 Pro, 02 mini atom. haha Wat if i give u $700....wat phone will U buy? haha....the downside of today is that i have to use a old spare phone..with no color screen...no contact list....and no fuctions.... =S Sianz..

two days ago, he came and told me "u are lost, but not forgotten". just this 6 words touchs my heart and i just teared one drop of tears on the bus 23 i was in along the PIE towards sim lim square. he just appears and say words to my heart whenever i am in my tots or just seating by the window looking as the world go by.

Btw i got my new laptop....which is the acer 5504. trade in my old laptop for a bigger and more powerful model...haha....now in library doing some revision and today got special guest, Birdnest fern joining me at the quiet library level 8. =P (hope aunty birdnest not reading this). Anyway as this is week 3 i can feel the pressure to study is higher le...stress is one word that can be found in my head.....zzz jia you wor ppl......

Sorry for no blogging last few times. haha, Yesterday was looking for my Laptop small port cover. Searching my whole room and thus searching my vault of junk which i didnt packed for maybe months or yearS? haha came across letters and birthday card dated back at 2002 and gifts...sure bring the memorises back of me being 16 or 17....now 20 le...Zzz sian. I stay in school till 9pm yesterday to do my revision...doing my notes on law. jeshz i did 8pages of note for 2 lec. at library level 8 there was simply no one. so quiet....but guess i am used to it le. Couples sometime hang out there in some corner, Best place i will say =P. Got to stay focus and Study hard hard le. Relationship to me now is, if it happens then it happens, I wont purposely go look or chase after one. too tiring le. The Yandao Chio bu thing, got to stop first...maybe During OTC (if i got in) then i chiong for it bah(hint hint)...best looking hunks and babes are there.(right, nick?). ..................I love HTM................Emerald plz for the sake of kelvin, help me get IT!

Been throught quite alot of celebrations recently. haha last friday celebrated my birthday with Family in T2 Airport (20/10) eat my fav chicken wingz at Yongs. Celebrated my birthday again with my 4th uncle on sunday at J.B (22/10) when to eat pizza hut and eat their chicken wing again, today went out to East coast park to cycle and play pool then my GC (CDS) classmates celebrated my birthday at parkway parade. haha they got me a cake and we ate it all up using spoons. Thanks Adriel, Matt, Yvonne, Will, Lydia, Emmy, Darren. =) then headed down to Tampines to celebrate with my 7yr buddie Ronald who treated me and my another friends whose birthday is 26/10 a GIANT earthquake at Tampines Swensens. Thanks To All....haha thinking back my days of being digit one "1" is going to be over in another 1 hr. Turning to "2" le. haha Thanks to all that has been there for me throughout this Years~ I really felted blessed and loved. =)

Today, went out with peiwen and her sister to do scout for some computer stuff as they wanna buy a new com, then i went from sim lim to city hall to walk walk and get some Camera stuff. haha got my IR filter and Wide Angle lens le. now left is some cash for me to put back into the bank. =P then headed down to Downtown east and celebrate my nieces birthday which is 3 yrs old. haha she was giving everyone kisses and was soooo cute lor. then reach home heard that jon and bel together le.....haha Congrats congratz~ Bro u owe us a drink worz. Yesterday went to sch to hear some silly briefing then my grp went to VIVO city to walk walk and watch deathnote......the show not bad bah, i managed to get the story line. hahah waste alot of cash this few days. hope to recover the cash after my birthday week. btw, All those who wants the INTSC Team-bonding camp photos, i will try and pass it to u all next week. sorry for the delay! =)

Today, just managed to complete my Journal today, haha finally not so stress le, was planning to finish it by today, as i want to enjoy my sunday and coming up next wil be the INTSC sub-comm camp and School is starting soon~.hahaha sorry for so no long updatez. well here is it. this week went to school most of da time to do the GC presentation and Teacher Rank it top in my class and we got a A for it. yeah~ then was invited to go to C139 (my junior IND class) chalet and drink and had fun at aloha Changi (thank Nic!) the care teacher was also there and said i look like jon and wanna take a pic with me.too bad she didnt bring her camera. then was Nat surprise birthday, our poor plan of surprise didnt work out, but at the end of the day we really made it nats day~ Happy birthday again nat! I guess i really need sleep and cash to most nowz...i know u cant help me with sleep, but i guess u can help in the cash part. hahahaha...jk jk. I think thats all for today worz....today PSI was over 100 again. Take care worz people.

Back from the vietnam Tripz

Hi, peepz yesterday just got back from vietnam....boy i was so tired that i reach home and fall aslp stright away. but it was fun in vietnam, i will just do a quick summary of the whole thing and places i visited.

1st day
Woke up at 930am then did some last min packing then shared a cab with emerald to terminal 1 then waited for the rest to come at burger king.
Then departed from singapore to vietnam on vietnam airlines VN740 on a 1hr 30mins flight, then reach Ho chi minh city (tan son nhat airport) and we got on the bus for the city tour. After that we enjoyed a Vietnamese cuisine Dinner, gosh i realise that i have been eating Spring roll for the 1 whole week as it was kinda of thier traditional dishes. No more spring roll for me for 1 month please! after the dinner we were check in to our hotel (Arc EN Ciel Hotel), 3 star hotel we were kinda ok with it got cable tV too. yeah! then we had our tutorial lessons at 9.30pm till around 10plus and then lights out...

2nd day
530 wake up call...thank god i manage to wake up and i look out my window and saw the vietnamese ppl doing tai chi along the streets until 6am.then had breakfast which i ate spring roll again -_-""" then 7am we assemble at the hotel lobby and depart for the vietnam national UNiversity, man the vietnam university (IU) gals are bold and daring, they were playing some games with us and one of them say I am single and looking for a boyfriend...i was reacting by hiding my head under the table. then at the end of the university some viet gals ask me to take pictures with them as they said i look very cute and korean. i was like Omgz...ya then we departed to the war remnants museum, it quite intersting as they put life tank and guns of those use in the vietnam war. Later on we went on a cyclo tour which is something like tristraw in singapore the differences is that the driver is located behide us instead of beside us. haha it has a unforgetable experices for me. then we were given 3hrs to do shopping at the ben thanh market, i bought a few stuff like adidas shirts and such....man it was tiring, later we had dinner at PHO 2000 a restarant which bill cliton had his meal before....then we headed home for tutorial session. lights out.

3rd day
today we went to the Mekong Delta where it was famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields and we took a boat ride and visited the orchard unicorn island, then we departed for the History musum and saw a water puppet show which is kinda of nice as it was my first time watching it. Recommand that u go and see it for urself. Then we headed back to hotel as we got our Business & Economics Forum, got to know thier GDP grow and such... then have our tut again and slp.

4th day
Visited the Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) and then visited the dutch lady factory and the garment factory and was having our lunch at the country club hosted by PROTRADE corporation. then we headed to Que Huong Charity Center to do our humanitartian community work, we was playing with kids and its was really a joy to make a smile on thier faces. it was one of the best days i had. then we had dinner at a local restaurant and had tutorial.

5th day
went to Cu Chi tunnel to learn about the recent war history of vietnam, it had a network of a 200km long unerdround tunnel that was used in the vietnam war and we got to shoot using (m16 or AK47) at the firing range...it was kinda cool then we head to tay ninh province to observe the religious ceremony call the caodaism which is a mixture of religion like christian, buddisum , taosium and many more. then we head back to hotel to rest and wash up and then head to saigon tax trade centre for last min shopping and had a farewell dinner at the River cruise and had tutorial session back at the hotel.

6th day
It was the last day of vietnam , we woke up at 6am and had breakfast at 7am then we departed the hotel and head to the airport and departed on the flight VN 741 at 1130 instead of 1030 becoz of the haze in singapore. well then was recieve by my parents at around 2plus..went home and fell aslp, then realise that the PSI has 150 the highest this year, i miss the air in vietnam...haha hope the haze go away asap.....signing out

Today, was quite a good day, as my family celebrate my younger bro birthday at swensens. haha his birthday was on the 3 oct, but i flying on the 2oct. so we celebrated for him early. We had a HuGE EARTHQUAKE "imagine 8 scoops of ice-cream and 8 toppings" haha that was god like. anyway after eating that for lunch.i head down to chinatown for some shoots and bought myself a Tripod for the camera. Havent really pack finish...hope i can complete it by tml when i wake up bah. lazy lazy me.... =Z Oh ya...today i update the memories page with pictures le........will still be adding more pic into it, so stay tune and thanks for all the comments that are coming in. will blog tml again be4 i go..... Hope to make a differences in their lifes. =) and also have been heading out with my GC friends like yvonne, em, paterina, christabel, mattew and many more. Really feel very bless to be in this class. Can really feel the bond of the class as a whole compared to the other classes. Me didnt really have enjoyed my holiday, because of this GC and sup paper. Sorry for late blogging cause i was too excited with my new Device which i imported from HongKong, cause me $133 with shipping and it finally arrived on the 1sept. I wrote a Review of the Product(which i am the 1st to write in the World) and post it in hardwarezone. and by the next day 2sept i got over 1000 ppl viewing my review, the number is keep increasing, haha i was so surprise. Hi, its been a LONG LONG time since i updated my blog, going to 1month no update le. sorry. =X Me still alive and kicking so no worries k? during the 1 mth many things changed. like my DS turn to a White DS lite to a Black DS lite. Hair on head grew longer, getting more handsome? *jk jking, still the same old fugly me* Have become more poor =S, and still single? haha. Realise that 1 month flew so fast. today is between the exam week, dunno can pass my dbsy paper tml anotz.. haiix. Thanks for so many friends for being there for me. i realise that being able to spend time with my classmates and friends is the greatest thing i enjoyed, and nothing can beat that.

Today, went out with huilin (design sch), meet her at her hse void deck at 12, then we headed out to city hall coz i was looking for some present then she accompany me, we walked from city link to suntec mall to millia walk to marina sq then back to raffles city. hahaha then we took a train back to tampines and watch a movie there, then after the movie we had dinner near her place........then send her back to her hse, and i walk back home.....haha btw my house and her house quite near only a street away. will post pic soon......hahahaha...later on msn we told each other we enjoyed each other company then chatting alot....then thats all bah.....hahaha

Today, went to sch and was late for 5mins..haha coz was at home to burn Anti-virus for ying. then after my stmd lab end, she call me and tell me she reach the atm le. me go and fetch her, then we go biz park to get ice mocha. her fav...lol then later she pei me go for my lec(swen). we saw chang yong. then she give a few big wave be4 he saw her and ran to her... haha he was shocked that she was in tp. Rare of her to be in tp mah....after lecture, she went to find cat who was at the concourse then chatted for awhile before we headed to mensa to eat chicken rice. haha, we meet Ron, si jie, eugne they all...chatting awhile also. then finally had lunch together...so long awaited wor... then later me 1pm leave for my lessons while she hang around tp for awhile then go off...haha she still look the same...she say same for me..later having my dbsy tut....got my results for term test.... fail by 4.5 mark.... at least close to a pass..then after my lesson...joshua ask me how me and belle...lol...i told him i and her broke off le...he also shocked. haha.that was the past.......so lets move on to the future!

Today, was not bad for me, Pass my DBSY lab test, Pass my SWEN lab test, Pass my INM term test, Pass my CDS assignment, pass my STMD Term test..............omg 5 papers i still managed to pass all.....still got DBSY term test and SWEN term test....hope to pass this two papers....... Stress stress....lucky i now go time to focus on studies le...time to catch up le........today sch was beri messy, can see paper all around sch...coz of the voting going on....omg lor....i cant imagine how many trees are wasted just for this few papers.........one day, i going to take my camera and shoot the status of my sch. u will be shocked...... NOw going to do my INM assignment le.....gambatte!

haha...so fast monday le...had to summit my cmsk intro today, quite stress up as i still got alot of projects to do. Still worried abt my INM, die still need focus and time to do...haixx. was surprise that terences come and chat with me on msn, haha rarely chatted up as we are quite busy with our stuffz. I got projects, he got his tpsu to run. haha....gald that i still enjoy good relations with some clubs (TPSU,E2 MAX, ATOMIC) other then Intsc. I just love mondays, It wat i called "Classmate day" as i can pei my classmate of yr 1 today...and quite relax timetable for me(sch start at 11am). i always look forward for monday. =P Me recently saw a lobang for a 19" LCD moniter at a good price. Hope i can get the lobang soon... hehe abother 48 hrs... I am so in love with library and books omg lor....i am so bookworm...they help me kill time and yet give me more knowledge hehe. I realise that friends and i is more like United nations. There will be friends that u are ok with and maintain a talkable relations(hi/bye friends;coursemates;classmates;friends), there will be close allies where u can depend on them to back u/help u in time of need(close friends;buddies;Sworn brothers), there will also be those who will oppose againsts u, those that see u as enemy and have no relations with u.(Rivals;backstabbers) Lucky for me i am glad to have many talkable relations friends (>100), a few close allies (<10), and maybe (2) opposers. haha, i always hope to make up with those who oppose me and try to maintain as friends. Even if we have different point of view on certain subjects, i hope to find a common ground so that we can have a talkable relation. Its better to have friends, rather then lose friends for they say, Friends are 4ever...haha. I come up with this after studying for 2yr plus on how united nations works and how we Commutate with our friends and people around us. haha, i just love world issues and wat happen around the world everyday!

Today, was in school whole day, till 5pm haha...........saw INTSC ppl putting up thier Banners and Pictures all over school. Glad that they are perparing all thier stuff for the election of the new main comm........... not much news today. hehe.. later when home to slp, from 5pm to 8pm OMG, me becum so zhu le.....pig pig me. Later at night saw Ying chatted with me on msn, Omg lor, so long no chatted with her le........somemore she and her bf 8th month today......wish them good luck and such....we chatting abt the past time we had together during orientation days, where she called me "dear" for fun. We two are just close friends abut guess our empire think otherwise....perhaps our actions? lol.....that was 1 yr ago le....also found out that during that time she had a crush on me....as usual i didnt know @_@ blur blur me. She say she can be her natural self when she is with me, no need to act or wat...... haha But gald that she had found her one le.......U go gal. Hope for the day, we go drink "kopi together" will come soon after saying since her FNDB lessons... after that we chatted on the phone to catch up more ...found out that she and belle was in the same class in oopg. haha she say belle is beri gd in oopg and such, and she was shocked when i told her i and belle were together at that time, then we had common friends like cat and perline. lol then we chatting abt some church issues and i share with her some of my views on certain topics, prayed together with her on the phone for her family, relationship and her. then realise it was 2.25am le..... we chated for so long yet we still have not complete our sharing...but leave if till the next time we chat bah.........then we put down phone and go slp le. So happy when chatting and catching up with her life.......really can laught and smile... happy 8th mth again! tc~

wahaha, i think belle must be really upset or angry abt me?it seems that She the only one affected by it. my classmates and friends all happy that i got over it. haha.. i will still be a friend to belle, even if she dont want it. Friends are ppl who can help or be there for them. Realize that i dont feel hurt so much le...... hehe now i can focus more on studies le. Ya btw i was shocked that my single status spreaded fast in my lecture. Which i only told my class, then later on msn my coursemates ask me if i ok in the relationship anot. i say i single le, then i ask y? they told me they saw my gf with another guy in sch.... and they beri shock. haha...sorry coursemates for i cant inform all of u. I also suddenly got to know tat me, r, m we broke up all on the same day! a new beginning........haha, finally i am enlighten le. Thanks to "U know who u are" for finally enlighten-ing me. I realise that i was a fool until u talk sense to my silly head of mine. Y care so much, if da person doesnt even care abt u anymore. Y suffer so much, and yet da person doesnt know. Y torture meself, when everyone is waiting for me to get over it. A relationship coach lays out his 5 golden rules for evaluating the prospects of long-term success.

When it comes to making the decision about choosing a life partner, no onewants to make a mistake. Yet, with a divorce rate of close to 50 percent,it appears that many are making serious mistakes in their approach to finding Mr./Ms. Right! If you ask most couples who are engaged why they'regetting married, they'll say: "We're in love." I believe is the #1 mistake people make when they date.

Choosing a life partner should never be based on love (alone). Though this may sound not politically correct, there's a profound truth here. Love (alone) is not the basis for getting married. Rather, love is the result of a good marriage. When the other ingredients are right, then the love will come. Let me say it again: You can't build a lifetime relationship on love alone. You need a lot more.

Here are five questions you must ask yourself if you're serious about finding and keeping a life partner.

QUESTION #1: Do we share a common life purpose?

Why is this so important? Let me put it this way: If you're married for 20 or 30 years, that's a long time to live with someone. What do you plan to do with each other all that time? Travel, eat and jog together? You need to share something deeper and more meaningful. You need a common life purpose.Two things can happen in a marriage. You can grow together, or you can grow apart. 50 percent of the people out there are growing apart. To make a marriage work, you need to know what you want out of life - bottom line- and marry someone who wants the same thing.

QUESTION #2: Do I feel safe expressing my feelings and thoughts with this person?

This question goes to the core of the quality of your relationship. Feeling safe means you can communicate openly with this person. The basis of having good communication is trust i.e. trust that I won't get "punished" or hurt for expressing my honest thoughts and feelings. A colleague of mine defines an abusive person as someone with whom you feel afraid to express your thoughts and feelings. Be honest with yourself on this one. Make sure you feel emotionally safe with the person you plan to marry.

QUESTION #3: Is he/she a mensch?

A mensch is someone who is a refined and sensitive person. How can you test? Here are some suggestions: Do they work on personal growth on a regular basis? Are they serious about improving themselves? A teacher of mine defines a good person as "someone who is always striving to be good and do the right thing." So ask about your significant other: What do they do with their time? Is this person materialistic?

Usually a materialistic person is not someone whose top priority is character
refinement. There are essentially two types of people in the world: People who are dedicated to personal growth and people who are dedicated to seeking comfort.
Someone whose goal in life is to be comfortable will put personal comfort ahead of doing the right thing. You need to know that before walking down the aisle.

QUESTION #4: How does he/she treat other people?

The one most important thing that makes any relationship work is the ability to give. By giving, we mean the ability to give another person pleasure. Ask: Is this someone who enjoys giving pleasure to others or are they wrapped up in themselves and self-absorbed? To measure this, think about the following: How do they treat people whom they do not have to be nice to, such as a waiters, bus boy, taxi driver, etc.? How do they treat parents and siblings? Do they have gratitude and appreciation? Do
they show respect? If they don't have gratitude for the people who have given them everything, you cannot expect that they'll have gratitude for you - who can't do nearly as much for them!

Do they gossip and speak badly about others? Someone who gossips cannot be someone who loves others. You can be sure that someone who treats others poorly will eventually treat you poorly as well.

QUESTION #5: Is there anything I'm hoping to change about this person after we're married?

Too many people make the mistake of marrying someone with the intention of trying to "improve" them after they're married. As a colleague of mine puts it, "You can probably expect someone to change after marriage ... for the worse!" If you cannot fully accept this person the way they are now, then you are not ready to marry them.

In conclusion, dating doesn't have to be difficult and treacherous. The key is to try leading a little more with your head and less with your heart. It pays to be as objective as possible when you are dating, to be sure to ask questions that will help you get to the key issues.

Falling in love is a great feeling, but when you wake up with a ring on your finger, you don't want to find yourself in trouble because you didn't do your homework.

Funny news from GM in response to Microsoft CEO comment!

For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon."

In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating:

If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part):

1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.

2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.

3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

4. Occasionally, executing a manoeuvre such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times! as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only five percent of the roads.
